UltiCAM is a full featured, graphic-oriented Cable and Asset Management system. Written in Microsoft Access, UltiCAM's graphic interface is uniquely integrated with Microsoft Visio's Shapes and Drawings. Either .DXF or .DWG CAD drawing file formats can be imported. 

UltiCAM excels by defining standard industry configurations into a simple, easy to use software that can be used by installers, telecom technicians, data communications managers, and others. Yet it offers the functionality and flexibility to meet the customization requirements of network designers and consultants.

UltiCAM documents and controls the management of the physical layer, device configuration and circuit connectivity for a wide range of network topologies including Data, Voice, CATV, Audio/Visual etc. that range in size, from just a few hundred nodes to many thousand.

Those responsible for the design, installation, maintenance and management of voice and data services can complete "as builts" or modify new or existing information very quickly using UltiCAM and generate up to date documentation for any type of network configuration.

While UltiCAM was designed with voice and data cable management in mind, its universal functionality can be extended to interface with logical network management systems, cable testing and labeling systems, help desk, call accounting, and other facility management tools.

Using a flexible and multipurpose database, UltiCAM documents the physical characteristics for any network, recording the network, asset, user, and TIA/EIA details, device configuration, and exact connections between equipment and cabling. The results are then presented in either a database view, dynamic schematic, or Visio Drawing.

The schematics are used to show the physical connectivity and logical path of the equipment and cabling connections in the database. In addition, the user can specify a wide range of selection criteria for the schematic display or Visio Drawing. All views can be printed to a local printer or plotter.

As a multi site system, UltiCAM can store information for multiple buildings or campuses and show views by floor, closet and zones. Specific information such as port or pair assignment, network addresses, and circuit connections are easily entered to match the level of detail required.

The Service Desk feature provides both an administrative process and audit trail for recording and scheduling changes that need to be made to Equipment and Connections in your UltiCAM Site.  There are three options within Service Desk: 1) Service Requests, 2) Trouble Tickets, and 3) Work Orders. Each provides its own choices and reference numbering for easy tracking and assignment.

Both Service Requests and Trouble Tickets provide the option of being used globally for your entire organization, regardless of whether the item in service has been recorded in the site database, or used for items within your current site.

Work Orders are only specific to items recorded in your site database and manage the Moves, Adds, and Changes (MAC'S) and Connection updates for your Equipment and Cabling. Work Orders can be associated with a Service Request or Trouble Ticket or can be independent. More than one Work Order can be associated with any Service Request or Trouble Ticket.

It is unusual to find a solution that serves multiple levels and expertise of users and has flexible views for providing an intelligent dimension to cabling decisions.

UltiCAM bridges this problem with a seamless integration of asset and work order management, circuit information and technical drawings and blends all of these into a single system.

UltiCAM Professional is a full featured, graphic-oriented cable and asset management system. It comes complete with a Microsoft Visio interface and is available in both a single workstation and a multi-user network version.

UltiCAM Assistant is the complete UltiCAM package without the Visio graphic capability. This version is for users who do not require the CAD interface. This system is also available as a single workstation and multi-user network version and provides an easy migration path to the full UltiCAM Professional graphic version with minimal effort.
